Report Organization -- I have started in a way that will get my audience interested. My presentation is three paragraphs that represent a beginning, middle, and end.
My report showed that I was not interested at all and I did not write three paragraphs.
My report had some excitement but I only wrote two paragraphs.
I have done the work as expected, but my report lacks a true understanding of my character.
I have done my report exactly as suggested and I do understand my fun character. I have also given examples of how my character showed hyperbole, personification, or onomatopoeias.
____
Report Conventions -- You have used proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar. You make sure you have three indented paragraphs. Your handwriting or typing is neat.
I did not indent, I have several spelling errors, and I have a lot of grammar mistakes.
I tried to indent but my intentions were unclear. My writing or typing is also very messy.
I have less that three spelling errors, grammar issues, and I have indented.
My paper is perfect. I am very neat, care about my spelling, and I have made sure my paper was proofread for grammar mistakes.
____
Report Ideas -- I have used my own words and not just copied from the Internet. I made sure to look for more than one source to research my topic.
It is obvious I copied right out of the book.
I only used one source that Mrs. Carter gave me and did not try to find other information.
I have done what I can to put together my report but I really didn't go above and beyond to show a great deal of information.
Excellent use of words, I have showed that I took the time to learn more about my character.
____
Sentence fluency -- My sentences vary in length and I am writing quality fourth grade sentences. "Stretch your ideas!"
I used very simple sentences.
I used mostly choppy simple sentences but I tried to spice it up a little bit.
My sentences are just okay and I didn't really stretch my ideas.
I have done everything expected of me. My sentence length vary, I have shown that I understand a quality fourth grade sentence, and my report is very fun!
____
Presentation -- Speak clearly, make eye contact, and be a good listener when others are giving their presentation.
I did not stop looking at my paper.
I spoke clearly but didn't listen to others when they talked.
I enjoyed my report, I did fine with my eye contact but I didn't care what others had to share.
I did an excellent job.
